October Somatic Day

Saturday, October 29th

CLOSED FOR REGISTRATION

10:00 am-5:00 pm

Somatic Days are in-person immersions in regulating the Autonomic Nervous System. They are led by facilitators from around the world who are researchers, clinicians, and healers that specialize in modalities that address Nervous System Dysregulation.

This October Somatic Day is centered around SOUND, MOVEMENT & SENSATION.

You are welcome to bring a tent and camp Friday evening starting at 6 pm CST.

Here are the day's events:

Kenny Kolter will be leading a sound bath in the open fields of the Wildlife Management Property that we call home. His sound immersions are between 60-90 mins and engulf your nervous system in sound, rhythm, and vibration. Kenny provides the gong ceremonies for the Dallas Yoga Center and many other surrounding area centers for health and healing. This is an experience you will not want to miss. As mentioned in Healthline, “A sound bath is typically a way of managing anxiety, soothing the nervous system, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body”.

As we transition from our sound experience, Audra Whatley will be facilitating the NADA protocol for acupuncture therapy for all attendees. In this session, we will melt into the Earth by planting our feet in the ground and practicing the emotional freedom technique. This is a technique you can leverage from wherever you are to reset your Autonomic Nervous System.

We will dedicate ourselves after our lunch to movement. We will dance and drum in the fields where you will learn how the positions of your body directly affect your nervous system, how other cultures incorporate dance for community healing, and how drumming impacts the eardrum helping vagal tone. Baba Kwasi provides a phenomenal somatic experience and openly shares the gift of life inspiration.
