The Somatically Rooted Homeschool Co-op

Open Ages 6–14

We are so thrilled you found us. Our little homeschool micro-school is tucked away at the corner of 922 and 215 in Collinsville, Texas, and welcomes children ages 6-14, as space allows.

We intend to nurture and inspire a child’s curiosity to solve life's challenges. We teach on a wildlife management property, fostering a relationship and connection with the planet and its rhythms. Through somatic regulation techniques, we help children understand and build a strong relationship between their minds and bodies. At the root of all we do is build a lifelong love for learning to support a Global Citizen mindset.

Whether you are a part of our homeschool family or not, we offer events all year-long to support the connection and thriving relationship dynamics of Self and family systems.

The Curriculum

We utilize the Global Village School's curriculum guides and incorporate elements of culture, art, nature, cooking, and somatic regulation into our learning environment. Our emphasis is on leveraging a child's unique and individualized learning style for self-paced development, building on each child’s interests and strengths. We aim to foster a child’s curiosity to tackle life's challenges and the world's resources effectively.

The Environment

We are on a wildlife management property and have a deep respect for our planet and animals. We do a great deal of outdoor learning. Children will learn about plant and animal life cycles, ecosystems, composting, food production, and outdoor cooking. We teach Somatic Regulation techniques that help children understand their bodies, their emotions, and build a strong relationship between the mind and body.

The Schedule

The Micro-School runs 3 days per week, Tuesday-Thursday, from 9-2. We are located at 215/922 on the border of Collinsville and Tioga, Texas. The 2025-2026 co-op year will run from September 8 to May 20. We are not accredited and do not track grades for students. However, we communicate our learning units and guides so every family can build strong educational experiences around the micro-school enrichment.

How We Learn

We follow a loose daily routine of core subjects, including Math, ELAR, and science, and integrate games, art, STEAM, and nature exploration into everything we do. We will study cultures from around the world throughout the year, and we host guest teachers who specialize in various fields, including science, art, music, anthropology, psychology, culinary arts, and music therapy. These teachers are often adults who have made their passion their life’s purpose.

We are a secular Homeschool Co-Op, Micro-School.

We are open to ages 6-14

The Cost is $325 per month per child.

There is a yearly registration fee of $375 to cover the entire year’s books and supplies.

Each child will have a personal box list of items to bring and keep at school. (Ex: Rain boots, bug spray, garden gloves.)

Our co-op focuses on nature-centered learning, drawing inspiration from various educational theories and global concepts, while tailoring our approach to meet the needs of each individual child.

Registration Process
APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2025-2026

Each registration requires a form completion, a phone interview, and an in-person play date. Often, families are interested, but children need time to adjust to their environments, and we want children to be comfortable with the environment in which they learn.
